MAY, 19 THE MOSCOW SPRING CYCLING FESTIVAL WILL TAKE PLACE

In the spring of 2019, cyclists, cycling fans and active citizens will gather at the Cycling Festival, held with the support of the Department of Transport and the development of road and transport infrastructure of the city of Moscow. The Cycling Festival is a new format of cycling events, a multi-format celebration that unites sports, culture, an active lifestyle and puts Moscow on a par with major European and world capitals.
The mission of the Cycling Festival is the development of cycling culture in the city, promoting the principles and values ​​of a healthy lifestyle and ecological thinking among citizens and guests of Moscow.
The event will be held in two stages. In the morning, the legendary bicycle race "Sadovoe Ring" will take place - a time trial for amateur athletes of different levels of training. Registration of participants is already open on the website http://cyclingrace.ru , where everyone can choose the preferred format of the competition.
During the day, everyone will be able to drive through a large pillar along the Sadovoe Ring, which has been freed from cars specifically for the Festival.
The starting town of the Cycling Festival will be located on Sakharova Avenue, where guests and participants of the holiday will have to wait for an entertainment program, a festival of local food, thematic workshops, prize draws and contests from project partners.
The expected number of participants at the event will be at least 30,000 people.
